Actuator Calculators
Use these preliminary engineering calculators to estimate actuator force, lever torque, hatch lifting requirements, and scissor-lift loads before sending parameters to GEMING engineers.
These tools are for early selection only. Final actuator model, mounting position, safety factor, controller and bracket design should be confirmed with drawings and application data.
Linear Actuator Force CalculatorEstimate actuator force for pushing or pulling a load on a horizontal or inclined guide.Open calculatorHatch Lift CalculatorEstimate actuator force for a top-opening lid or hatch around a hinge.Open calculatorTop Hinge Door CalculatorEstimate force for a side/top hinge door where actuator angle and CG position matter.Open calculatorStaircase Hatch CalculatorEstimate lifting force for trap doors, stairs, basement access covers, or heavy floor hatches.Open calculatorFirst Class Lever CalculatorTorque balance calculator for pivot between load and actuator.Open calculatorSecond Class Lever CalculatorTorque balance calculator for load between pivot and actuator.Open calculatorThird Class Lever CalculatorTorque balance calculator for actuator between pivot and load.Open calculatorScissor Lift CalculatorEstimate actuator force for a simple scissor-lift mechanism.Open calculator
Before using the calculators
Enter dimensions consistently, use kilograms for load mass, millimeters for distances, and degrees for angles. If the mechanism has offset loads, shock, vibration, outdoor exposure, or human safety requirements, use a higher safety factor and request engineering review.
